Certification and codes of conduct
TKP Investments strives for as high a level of professional competence and integrity as possible. We are therefore affiliated with, or certified by, organizations that set codes of conduct and standards in the asset management industry. Here is just a selection:
The Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association (DUFAS) established the Code of Conduct for Asset Managers in 2014 to set out what clients can expect from their asset managers. TKP Investments is a member of DUFAS via Aegon Asset Management, and was indirectly involved in the establishment of these principles. The DUFAS Code of Conduct for Asset Managers (in Dutch) outlines ten general principles that asset managers must apply in accordance with the ‘comply or explain’ principle.
The Dutch Securities Institute (DSI) maintains registers in which securities specialists can be included. The aim is to help maintain and improve the quality of the securities market in the Netherlands and the investing public’s confidence in it. To this end, DSI establishes rules for the expertise, integrity and professional competence of individuals working in the securities industry. Inclusion in one of the registers serves as a hallmark of the individual’s professional competence and integrity. The relevant specialists at TKP Investments are therefore registered with DSI in one of the following categories: senior asset manager, asset manager, senior investment analyst, or senior securities dealer.
ILG-member of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership
The mission of the Investment Leaders Group (ILG) is to encourage sustainable investing in the investment chain. TKP Investments is the first Dutch asset manager affiliated with the ILG. Together with other international members, we set a good example by striving for sustainable financial and social added value. The ILG is part of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®)
Many specialists at TKP Investments are CFA® charterholders. The globally-recognized CFA Institute’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct are therefore woven into the culture and working practices of TKP Investments.
TKP Investments complies with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). We keep a close eye on our investment processes and administration; the figures on the returns generated by our investment funds are available in a uniform and easy-to-compare manner. The GIPS verification of our investment funds is performed annually by an external auditing firm and has received a positive final score since the start. As such, we satisfy the requirements stipulated according to GIPS, which underscores the reliability of the performance measurement of our investment funds.

TKP Investments is licensed by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) to operate as a manager of investment funds (Dutch Mutual Fund) and as a manager of UCITS investment funds (European passport for investment funds). It is also licensed to provide investment services (asset management, remisier and investment advice) under the Financial Supervision Act (Wft).
ISAE 3402 type II
The ISAE 3402 type II report provides detailed insight into how we guarantee the quality of our service provision. A management statement and opinion from an external auditor are part of this report. The basis for the ISAE 3402 type II report is a detailed risk analysis from the perspective of the client. This report is sent to our clients every year.
TKP Investments has been a member of the Financial Services Complaints Institute (Kifid) since 2014, and is registered as a service provider in the Kifid Register. You can contact the Kifid if you have a complaint about a financial product or service. The Kifid only deals with complaints against financial service providers that are affiliated with the institute. If the Kifid is able to handle your complaint, the Disputes Committee attempts to mediate between you and the financial service provider. If this fails, the Disputes Committee will take a decision on the case.
